A Successful ‘Investing Forum in Raw Materials’ organised by the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) and supported by our coordinator, ICAMCyL Foundation, took place on June 17th in the Hotel Meliá Sevilla in Seville, Spain!
The first activity, an emulation session for sharing best sustainable and circular practices, provided an excellent opportunity to explore innovative projects and solutions and drive sustainable mining forward.
The event featured notable figures including Jesús Portillo García-Pintos, General Director of Mines from the Andalusian regional government (Junta de Andalucía); Marta CERATI, Executive Manager of AMINER; Santiago Cuesta López, coordinator of i4-GREEN…
…and distinguished guests from the European Commission such as Martin Lange, DG Grow Policy Officer – Raw Materials, and Maja Ferlinc, Project Adviser at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). International financial experts Erwan Le Bourhis and Alexis FAURY also contributed their insights.
The forum offered engaging sessions on innovation and investment opportunities, focusing on the European Commission’s investment strategies, ecosystems of innovation, and financing possibilities for the Raw Materials Value Chain. Attendees also enjoyed a Technology Showroom and Elevator Pitch featuring innovative companies like Tharsis Mining and EcoCastulum.
